Rebecca has met Cobie Smulder
Sorry! There really isn't too much of a story to tell. I was covering the NHL Awards in Las Vegas and Cobie was a presenter. I introduced myself at the after-party since we're both Vancouver girls. A quick 'cheers' with our plastic beer cups, an iPhone selfy later and that's how I got the pic. She was very sweet.
Peggy has met Neil Patrick Harris
Today, Peggy tells us how she met Neil Patrick Harris, the How I met your Mother actor, a while ago.
"Hello,
Well my twin sister and I were born and raised in Minnesota. In the mid to late 90's RENT the musical hit the scene and as teenagers, we fell in love with it.
If you could not afford tickets, you were allowed to RUSH for seats. The theater would not sell tickets in the first two rows, these were set aside for rushers. If you chose to rush, you had to wait in line for tickets. One person was allowed to buy two tickets so if you were rushing with someone you could take turns waiting in line. My sister and I would rush for days on end, sleeping outside of theaters across the United States. Sometimes we would have to sleep outside 2 or 3 nights just to see the show once. By the time we were 20 years old we had both seen the show 40+ times and decided that we would never see it again.
In this picture we are outside of a theater in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Neil Patrick Harris is from New Mexico and even though he had left the touring cast he came back for these shows in his hometown. As soon as we caught wind of this we packed our bags, jumped in a beat up car and drove 20 hours straight. We were the first in line!"

3) Josh Radnor: The best interaction of the night was with How I Met Your Mother’s Ted at the In Style party. He was really sweet and obliged to take a picture with me. I told him he had tons of fans back in India and I had to get a picture with him just so that my friends could hate me! He laughed and said “Sure”. He also said “You’re beautiful”. That was it. My night, no, my life was made.
4) Kate Winslet: She passed by me at the HBO party and seeing she was by herself, I requested her for a picture. She very sweetly stopped for a second to oblige, holding onto her Golden Globe trophy that she won the same night. Not only is she beautiful, but really slim. So much for all the flak she gets over her weight.

Being a writer by profession, I’ve interviewed several
Bollywood (the Indian film industry) celebrities, so I never really felt ‘star
struck’ so to speak. Not until I had the opportunity to attend the Golden Globe
awards 2012. Call it sheer luck or God’s grace, when the Universe conspires,
there isn’t much you can do!
So, the day actually arrives and I’m in a daze for the
most part. After an unexpected limo ride, we stepped onto the coveted Red
Carpet. And from that moment on, I lost count of the number of celebrities I
saw. It all started with Gerard Butler
Glee’s Matthew Morrison
Sisters Emily (Bones) and Zoey Deschanel (New Girl), the entire cast of Modern Family, Ewan McGregor, James Marsden and of course, George Clooney
The list is really endless. Throughout the awards show, we were surrounded by celebs, but the joy of being up, close and personal only came by after the awards were done.

The list is really endless. Throughout the awards show, we were surrounded by celebs, but the joy of being up, close and personal only came by after the awards were done.
My interactions with the celebrities were limited, but
memorable. So here’s who I met:
1) Sofia Vergara: I met her in the Ladies Room and she looked so damn
gorgeous that I couldn’t help but let out “You look beautiful” to which she
graciously smiled and replied “Thank you”. Also in the Ladies Room was the
stunning Madeleine Stowe who looks amazing for her age.
2) Leonardo DiCaprio: Just as the awards were done for the night, I managed to see Leonardo DiCaprio up close enough to ask him if he’d click a picture with me. He even stopped to oblige when his bodyguard shoved him away. So close!

5) Ty Burrell: Modern Family’s Phil Dunphy is surprisingly
calm and quiet in real life. I spotted him at the bar at the HBO party, where
he graciously agreed to get clicked.
6) Emily Van Camp and the entire cast of Revenge: Fresh from the success of their new show Revenge, the cast was eager to know more about how their show was being received by audiences abroad. I spoke to Emily for several minutes telling her about TV show fans back in Bombay and how much we love her show.

state of utter randomness that is probably the result of a star-studded night
of this kind, I congratulated both of them on their award wins. They politely
thanked me in response."

Rain has met Alyson Hannigan (How I met your mother)
Today on the blog, Rain tells us about her encounter with Alyson Hannigan, the "American Pie" and "How I met your Mother" actress
I took Amtrak that night (all night) from Sacramento to LA. Jon picked me up at the station around 3am. Later that day we drove around Torrance. Made a stop at Torrance High where I skipped around exclaiming "this is where so-and-so sat" or "they walk down these steps all the time in scenes..." . Obviously, I was excited to be there!
In the late afternoon we walked down to the Star Trailers where the actors were getting ready. To my welcomed surprise there was James Marsters (Spike) playing his guitar on the street next to his trailer. There was a small group of fans gathering to take a look. Then James walked over to us. I was so nervous, but I was able to ask for an autograph which he generously gave, inscribing "Hello Cutie" - James Marsters. He took a picture with me, wrapping his arm around my shoulder. I remember he told my cousin to take a second picture because "girls always want a second picture!" I was starstruck and in heaven. It's a blur in my memory (eleven years later)!
Though, I wasn't nearly as starstruck as when I caught a glimpse of Nicholas Brendan (Xander) walking from his trailer to the make-up trailer. Xander was and still is my FAVORITE Buffy character! We spotted the assistant, Wendy, and asked her if Nick was going to sign any autographs, she said she wasn't sure. Then Jon pleaded my case for me, saying what a big fan I am and that I was on Amtrak all night hoping for the chance to meet him. So she said she'd see what she could do. Minutes later Nick comes out of makeup calling out to Wendy. We see them chat & then they're both pointing towards me & waving Jon and I over. I couldn't move! I was absolutely starstruck! Jon pushed me to move forward. I took a few steps to Nick as he walked towards me holding out his hand saying, "Hi, I'm Nick".
Soon after when the actors were being called to set, Alyson Hannigan emerged from her trailer. So we walked over to her and asked for an autograph and picture.
Then the small congregation of fans walked over to where they were filming. The helper on set was a nice guy who told us we had to stay across the street for the entire time we wanted to be there. To be quite and turn our phones/watches/pagers/etc. off and turn the flash off on our cameras or we would be asked to leave.
The scene being shot is when Willow and Xander are walking out of the Summers' house when Spike walks up the path with flowers for Buffy. Then Spike and Xander have an argument before Spike storms off throwing the flowers to the ground. Standing across the street I had to keep my hands clutched over my mouth to keep from laughing and squealing with excitement as I listened to the dialogue. They shot the scene quite a number of times for the actors forgetting their lines, to get different angles or because of planes or traffic causing unwanted noise. Between takes I told Jon that Alyson was the band geek in American Pie. He hadn't even realized it was her. He was so excited that he had to take a picture with her. He had wanted to ask her to say "This one time at band camp..." , but also between takes James had walked back over to chat with fans and I told him what Jon wanted to ask and he told him "No Dude, she gets asked that allll the time!". So luckily Jon refrained and I took a pic with he Alyson. Sadly, that's the one photo in my whole bunch that came out the clearest because Jon had a hard time trying to focus my (35mm film) camera! Ah well, I still have fond memories even though the pictures are blurry and through my star-struck haze! :) I took Amtrak home the next day and developed my film at one-hour photo, regaling my co-workers with my stories of each actor! <3

The fifth season of Buffy was on the air (I believe it was around 2001). They were taping a scene for the episode "Forever" using the exterior of "the Buffy House" (1630 Revello Drive) which is actually in Torrance, CA. My cousin, Jon, actually lived around the corner from the house which is also down the street from Torrance High (Sunnydale High/West Beverly Hills). They posted signs a day before the actual shoot that they would be blocking off the street. Knowing what a HUGE Buffy fan I am, Jon called me up and told me I needed to get down there immediately!

Somehow I was able to vocalize "Hi, I'm Lorrain". It was so surreal. Time slowed down and moved way too quickly at the same time. I don't even recall much of our conversation. He wrote "Howdy" -Nicholas Brendan. We took a picture before we got ambushed by the other fans that pushed me out of the way. I whispered to Jon that I wish I could have hugged him (Nick). So he told me to ask for one. After the girls parted I asked him & he said something like "Oh sure" and I really saw stars then. It was brief but friendly.

Which she quickly posed for me and signed -Alyson Hannigan with a smilie face then waved goodbye before jumping on Nick's back for a piggy-back ride. Nick told us to get a picture of her ass because it's cute and I did! LOL! I remember she was so dainty. Her hands and everything.

Today Valentina tells us how she met Neil Patrick Harris (HIMYM)
I met Neil Patrick Harris in Florence in April. I was there with my University friends and it was shocking, specially for how I recognized him. I was walking hopping in the street and one of my crazy friends said "I want offer you a coffee, and also to that young man with glasses!". So I looked at that young man with glasses, and he was Neil Patrick Harris! My crazy friend didn't know who he was, she was only joking. Neil was with his husband and they had sunglasses and they hid with their umbrella. I run to them and I asked for a photo. Neil said to me "Sorry, there's a lot of people, I can't", I answered "Pleaaaaaaaaase!" with puppy eyes and he said "Ok ok" and we had a photo.

Today Rachel tells us everything about the day she met Josh Radnor, the How I met your mother actor
"Hello,
I live in a small town called Bexley, Ohio, and nothing exciting happens here much. Everybody who lives here knows that Josh Radnor grew up here, but most people have never had an interaction with him.
I was at a big 4th of July celebration and noticed the guy in front of me looked familiar! I wasn't sure, because he was wearing a hat and had a beard, but I asked my friend and she confirmed that it was Josh Radnor.
I REALLY wanted to get a picture with him, but decided to wait until after all the fireworks were done so I wasn't interrupting him and his family. But right before the grand finale he began walking away. I was so sad that I had missed my chance. I decided to just get over it, and went around looking for some of my other friends. I said hello to a person or two, kept walking, and then found a good friend and started talking to them. Imagine my surprise when I looked right next to us and Josh Radnor was there! I was extremely shy about the situation, so I told my friend what I wanted and he was brave enough to go ask.

Josh Radnor was extremely gracious and had no problem taking a picture with my friends and myself. I'm lucky that he was so kind and didn't get annoyed!"
